I'm pleased to announce the second album-shaped offering by Argyle Torah, my duo project with Aaron Pond. Drilling Holes in Chaotic Blob is a recording of a live performance at Pageant Soloveev in Philadelphia from December 7, 2024. Video footage of this performance can be viewed on YouTube, if you're into that sort of thing.
The title is inspired by the Daoist text known as the Zhuangzi (specifically, Brook Ziporyn's English translation), whose zany logic has insinuated itself into our music.
Just short of 20 minutes, the album is what used to be called an EP. In spite of its brevity, we hope you'll find it's chock full of auditory vitamins and minerals.
